چکیده

This paper considers the robust fault detection and isolation (FDI) problem for uncertain linear timeinvariant (LTI) systems. An FDI filter minimizes the sensitivity of the residual signal to disturbances and modeling errors subject to the constraint that the transfer matrix function from the faults to the residual is close to a diagonal matrix (for fault isolation). A solution of the optimization problem is presented via the formulation of linear matrix inequalities (LMI). A jet engine example is employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of our results. Keywords— Fault detection and isolation, linear matrix inequalities, robust and H∞ control, multiobjective optimization.

Robust Model- Based Fault Detection and Isolation for V47/660kW Wind Turbine

In this paper, in order to increase the efficiency, to reduce the cost and to prevent the failures of wind turbines, which lead to an extensive break down, a robust fault diagnosis system is proposed for V47/660kW wind turbine operated in Manjil wind farm, Gilan province, Iran. According to the acquired data from Iran wind turbine industry, common faults of the wind turbine such as sensor fault...

Lmi-based Integration of Robust H∞ -control and Rfd for Lti Systems

In this contribution, problems related to the integrated design of observer-based robust H∞ controller and robust fault detection (RFD) system is studied for uncertain LTI systems with both modelling errors and unknown input. We first propose to use an ideal solution, which is in fact an optimization solution of fault detection filter achieved on the assumption of the system model is perfectly ...

Multi-objective H =H1 fault detection observer design for Takagi–Sugeno fuzzy systems with unmeasurable premise variables: descriptor approach

This paper investigates the problem of robust fault detection observer design for nonlinear Takagi–Sugeno models with unmeasurable premise variables subject to sensor faults and unknown bounded disturbance. The main idea is to synthesize a robust fault detection observer by means of a mixed H =H1 performance index. The considered observer is used to estimate jointly states and faults. Using the...

Integrated Active Fault Tolerant Control Approach Based LMI

In this work we study a new approach of fault tolerant control schema. The suggested strategy is an active Fault Tolerant Control (FTC) strategy that reconfigures the controller on-line taking into account changes due to the faults where both the block of fault detection and the block of the controller are formulated as a Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) problem. The problem of fault estimation is...

A Robust Adaptive Observer-Based Time Varying Fault Estimation

This paper presents a new observer design methodology for a time varying actuator fault estimation. A new linear matrix inequality (LMI) design algorithm is developed to tackle the limitations (e.g. equality constraint and robustness problems) of the well known so called fast adaptive fault estimation observer (FAFE). The FAFE is capable of estimating a wide range of time-varying actuator fault...
